| project | Signal Equipment Room |
The client required buildings of a modular construction to house signalling equipment in confined and difficult to access trackside locations. The flexible design enables the building to be brought to site in small sections by manual handling. Alternatively, where there is crane access, the building may arrive in large modules with equipment preinstalled at the factory.
The building is designed for a 60 year service life with the minimum of maintenance costs. A stainless steel structural frame supports roof beams of a fabricated lattice construction.
