Waterra, a specialist in environmental monitoring, needed an inertial pump to meet strict cost, weight and performance criteria. The PowerPack PP1 weighs under 13Kg and can be operated by 1 person. The backpack allows 2 hands free to carry additional equipment. Through careful value engineering, the cost to performance ratio has been greatly improved, generatinginterest in this specialist market place. Sales quadrupled in the first year and the development costs were paid for by the first 3 months production.
Creactive won the manufacturing contract. We sourced components, arranged manufacture of the parts and assembled the final product. Ten years on, the pump is still selling worldwide.
