Sleeperz compact lifestyle hotels are characterised by a high level of design excellence and the distinctive ambience of their city-centre locations.
The Sleeperz Hotel is designed to attract independent rail travellers with 76 compact ‘budget luxury’ rooms, a cosy lounge and a tempting restaurant. As interior designers on the scheme, Creactive and Jamie Buchanan have created an alluring environment, taking inspiration from clean and functional Scandinavian design to create bespoke furnishings with bold colour and graphic treatments. Each room is treated as a railway carriage, where each element is purposely designed.
The chosen design direction distinguishes Sleeperz from the competition by utilising small but stylish rooms on irregular-shaped sites next to mainline railway terminals.
Sleeperz Hotel in Cardiff received a RIBA Award in November 2010.
